Default Saving $ w/ DEs

Was thinking about this the other day along with how thin my wallet is. I have my CFII ride on Wednesday and then want to jump into my Multi commercial add on. Just to save paying $400 for the DE again, is it possible to do both the Multi and CFII ride on the same day with the DE? I'm assuming no since DEs charge for each certificate ride. Just curious and if any one has been able to do this before to save some cash.

if you want to save $$$$$, go to local fsdo and take the rides with the feds.
The only way you will save bucks. As you have stated DPE's charge for each ride (8710) you can do both rides in the same day, but separate charge for each ride. Good luck on Wednesday....

There's one guy here who will do you a $200 dollar discount for doing both on one day... I'm pretty sure it only ended up to be $600, since he only made one trip or something - someone else's experience. Two rides in one day is a little more than I care to partake in.

Another guy here will do each ride for $300 - he's a really great guy who isn't in it for the money - plus he'll usually give you a "repeat customer discount" if you do a few rides with him.

Either way good luck tomorrow!

I passed the ride yesterday. Only have the Multi-Commercial add on to do and then I'm done with the necessary certificates, everything after wards is going to be for fun (seaplane and aerobatics.)
