Default Help in LAS

I'm mentoring a family friend who wants to fly and they live in Las Vegas. Any good schools to recommend for him? Guy is 24 has a few bills and a full time job.

I did all my flying in HNL so I'm not too familiar with schools or FBO's in LAS.

Thanks in advance.

I typed in "flight schools las vegas" (without the quotes) and got lots of hits. Can't recommend any.

Thanks man, I could have done that as well. What I'm looking for is personal recommendations based off experiences.

I went to "West Air Aviation" at North Las Vegas for my PPL in 2002. I think they are under new ownership now, but definitely worth checking out.

West Air was good to me, reasonable prices. Avoid Monarch like the plague, all you're doing is lining that guys pockets.

Default Just a thought.

Call a local DE and ask which school produces the best pilots.

Second Cactus in HND. I'm getting my CFI there now and they have been great to work with. Good group.
