Default MSFS X vs Xplane

Hi just wondering what u guys thought as I'll be purchasing one of the two in the next few days. I'll be running it on a samsung i5 w 4gigs of ddr3 and I think it's a 1gig dedicated graphics card(?) with 500 gig hard drive I could be wrong about the graphics card. I know u need a pretty fast machine and I have read x plane runs better on slower machines. Also I have read plane has better scenery modeling and a better physics model. I'll be mostly using this to stay sharp on instrument approaches by flying stars approaches And departures. But it would be nice to fly around in a sr71 sipping java in my living room. :-)
Thanks in qdvanxe

I always prefered flying real plane. I never could do well with a desktop model.

I used MSFS X. It's good for the intent, just going through the procedures and checklists, but it's about worthless as far as realism and aircraft feel.

MSFS for the eye candy, X-Plane for the flight dynamics.

I think I just might get both

system update: my graphics card is an nvidia gt330 with a gig of ddr3
if I get both only my hard drive will suffer right? After all im not running them both at the same time, and i have 500gigs of hard drive.

I have played both MSFS and x-plane. The good thing about X-plane that there are a plethora of free downloads that actually works. I am a mac head so I really didn't have a choice...

Home of the X-Plane Flightsim Community - New Server for downloads.

Too bad your next assignment is UAV's . I already called DA and the branch manager for you.

Cheers!

Thanks, but I doubt they will get around to reasigning me as they never really did anything for me in the past. I think my file fell behind someones desk about 15 years ago.
