Default Aviation degrees

just out of curious, would it be smart to get an aviation degree or get it in something non related such as homeland security or somthing along those lines... i have 6 years of law enforcement back ground and right now i am at UVU online taking up their aviation degree and regardless i plan on getting a masters degree ... just wanting thoughts/opinions.. my ultimate goal is to fly for a living..... what is the opinion on ATP or American flyers?

This topic has indeed been around the pike at APC. It would be remiss for the people responding to this thread not to mention this fact and steer you over to the search window located at the upper left. Then get back to this thread with any detail that has not been covered previously, would be a good idea.
