Default Systems/Aerodynamics/Navigation software

Does anyone know if any software on these topics available that is a good aid for the flight instructor?

There are some good commercial programs that are out there, but often the cost is prohibitive for the flight instructor that's scraping by paycheck to paycheck and eating ramen noodles to survive.

Vector Training Systems (http://www.flightlink.com/vts) puts out some software. It's developed by a former UND classmate of mine and is pretty user friendly.
