Default Flight training - IFR, Comm, M.E.

Wassup homies! :-)

I was just curious if anybody knows of an FBO/Flight school in their local area that is cheap. What I mean by cheap is, can they beat these prices:

$70/hr for the plane and $45/hr for instructor. (This is for IFR)

$120/hr for the plane (commercial)

$200/hr for plane (multi-engine)

I quit my last job to concentrate on flying for the next two months and I want to get all they way to my MEI during that time. If you are an instructor and need the extra money, please post. Or if you know of anyplace cheaper than this. I dont care if it's in Kansas or North Dakota or Alaska. I need to get this stuff done ASAP. Any leads would be great! Thanks!

Maybe they can help - but you'll have to ask. Herb has mentioned he needs to know before hand if you can attend...I get the feeling he doesn't like to be overbooked...

Holy hell they'e cheap! And family owned too! I like that. I am going to give them a call today and see what I can do. Do you think they know someone I can crash with for the next month or so? I'll pay them rent of course.

I believe you can stay with them at their house if you let them know before hand...

Let me know what you think about the place / training...

Thanks,
LAFF

Actually, those are about the going-rates in the midwest right now. They might even be a bit on the low side.

make sure you guys e-mail Herb for updated price lists...the price info on that website is NOT CURRENT. It's not that much more expensive, but it is more expensive now. Just don't want you guys to call up expecting the exact prices you're seeing on the site.

If anyone wants to do a 100 or 150 hour block of shared (i.e. safety pilot loophole) multi time with me at Prairie Air between now and June/July then PM ME PLEASE!!! I promise I'm a nice guy, and I've got plenty of hot chicks scattered across the Midwest so any cross country stops we would have free food and lodging (not to brag or anything, but I just have that effect on women...they want to do stuff for me ;->).

So PM me if anyone is doing a program that would involve 100-150 hrs ME time blocked together on an intensive schedule.

HEY NICHOLAS!!!

I'll do that with you after I get my ME and MEI next month. Probably couldn't start flying until June but for now, count me in!! If my finances are lousy at the time, would you consider doing a 50 hour block?
