Default Logtenpro and MacBook/IPad question

My MacBook died. I was using logten Pro and had it backed up in my external hard drive. In order for me to continue logging and retrieve logs from external hard drive, do I NEED to buy another MacBook??? Or are there ways I can retrieve things in my external driver to IPad?

For reference I don't have logten pro in the iPad. However I'm willin to buy if some how I can make this work.

Thanks
