Sunstate Aviation. Was on the pricier side when I lived in Orlando about 4 years ago, but extremely well maintained aircraft and great instructors!

I won't go into detail, as everyone's results may vary, but I had a less than good experience there. Noticed some "interesting" billing, brought it up, a world of sh!t followed.

It was a few years ago, but it's still the same owner. If nothing else, a very bizarre person to deal with. Prices were ok and the CFIs flew a ton so everyone just sorta suffered him.

I'm not ranting or starting a fight as it might be the right place for you. Just wasn't for me...

I actually didn't train there. I actually trained at Orlando Flight training, on the other side of the airfield, and I wouldn't wish them upon my worst enemies. My roommate however was at Sunstate and seemed to love it there. I did however rent out their aircraft for time building quite consistently as they were the better maintained aircraft. Oh well, Florida is full of flight schools! Hope the original poster found something that may have interested him/her.

There are many...and if you are considering Florida, there are a lot of things to consider...most importantly where do you plan on training in FL? North, central or South Florida. Pt. 141 or pt 61? Florida is a great place to train and because of that there are several options for schools.

Thanks for all the good words about University Air Center! My name is Dave and I am the Chief Instructor for UAC. If you or anyone else has any questions feel free to send me a message. Gainesville is a great town and GNV is a great airport to train at.

I think Aviator Collage is the best and they have the best programs compared to other flight schools.
