That's what I would do! I am assuming Army Aviators are current in instrument procedures and the OP has 1500 TT and "50 hours" in a single engine airplane with his private SEL. Take the ATP written and the checkride in a single engine land aircraft. I used to rent airplanes from the Ft. Eustis Army aviation club dirt cheap! Should be a tax write off too!

This is all great information everyone. I appreciate all of your input. Especially since I believe I will be saving myself lots of money on training and long x- countries
