Hey everyone, I applied for a CFI position out in Phoenix at CAE Oxford, and was just wondering if anyone on the forums worked for them?

Thanks!!!

They are probably one of the best companies to work for as an instructor. 5 day work week, good pay, and you always have students to start.

Yea that's what I got from doing the little research I did. I'm hoping to get in contact with someone who works out there. The only thing is I don't have a ;yr degree. I just have my associates for now.

I work there. I'll try to find out today if the degree is a big deal, I don't imagine it is but let me ask. Do you have any dual given?

Thanks, that will be great, and unfortunately I don't. Hopefully its not too frowned upon.

What is the pay like over there, and how much time can you build in a year?

How many hours dual given does one need so that resumes can be taken seriously?

The target hours per year is 1000, which in most cases you will have no problem doing as you normally have 4 students at a time.

There are two programs, JAA and faa. I believe JAA pays more but you need 500tt and 200 dual given to qualify for VFR, and 200 IFR (which you can count anytime on an IFR flight plan). Pay is half salary and half hourly and depends on the amount of dual given. I'm not sure about starting pay but I would guess anywhere from 25k to 60k depending on how much dual given you have and how much you fly. You get 2 days off a week, although you can fly them if you choose to.
