Problems for RAA
Well guys, straight from a student at Regional Airline Academy. Looks like they are slowly closing the doors on this one. I'm home for Christmas right now and got a phone call from a friend (instructor at DCA) and tells me that they have layed off most of the instructors at RAA. When I get back on the 30th I have to finish my FAA for Multi. After that, I'm out. For the people in Florida, anybody know of a good flight school to go to? Maybe Avion or Epic?
Need some help guys, thanks. |
No love lost there. That place has the worst marketing BS and is the place that came up with the bright idea of giving RJ type ratings to 300 hour newbies.

Need some help guys, thanks. Sorry about your situation, but not sorry for RAA at all. You'll be fine in the long run though. Dust off and move on... |
yea its not gonna look good on my resume though. I did my PVT and INST part 61 back in TN then moved to Florida to go to DCA for my CSE, then I was gonna do my CFI, CFII, and MEI at RAA then go teach somewhere. They'll look at it like I'm inconsistent with my choices, but I left DCA because of financial issues and RAA because of obvious issues.

ConnectionPilot,
An airline isn't going to care that you did your training at a couple different places. In fact, I wouldn't even list it on your resume. Find a good school to finish up at, and be done. |
Epic in EVB is ok, ATP is good too in DAB and JAX prefer ATP over Epic though, ATP is good if you want to get your stuff fast and proficient, Epic is the typical FBO.

Need some help guys, thanks. There is only one place you want to consider...Call ATPs and move on with your career...Remember - with ATP you'll get the ratings you paid for and you'll get them in time / on budget and without any BS. www.allatps.com -LAFF |
this is what happens when the big wigs at the school see you as a dollar sign and not as a customer.....
