Default Building time help!

Hello everyone!

This is my first post on here and i just had a few questions on time building. I was looking through the FARs and I am going crazy trying to find the answers. I was wondering what aircraft can be used to build time. Can an experimental aircraft be used such as an experimental light sport aircraft? Same for an amateur homebuilt? Fixed wing ultralight?

Thanks ahead for all the help.

Time is time, however certain time is more valuable than other time, depending on what your goals are.

Everything pretty much counts towards total time except for ultralights. Think of it this way, whatever requires a certificate to fly counts. UAV/RPA time doesn't count either.

I'm pretty sure ultra lights are required to have N-numbers now and that they fall into the light sport (weight-shift) category. Which should make the time eligible towards total times.

Anyone care to guess just how well received all that LSA time is going to look on a resume against the competition? ;-)
