Based on FAA minimum requirements you are looking at $6980 (this includes 20 hrs of ground instruction). Course materials and FAA exam fees are extra. Also, keep in mind, these are based upon the FAA minimum hour requirements. The U.S. average for a Private Pilot Certificate is closer to 75 hours (there are ways to mitigate this) before an applicant performs to the test standards prescribed in order to take the test. So it is wise to budget for more with hopes of coming in on the lower end.
