Some help please...
Hi everyone,
Im new to this site, just joined today, I have found some really useful information!
Just a few questions...
First, im 18 years old I live in MA, I graduated high school in june and I knew I wanted to be a pilot, but I just couldnt figure out the right path. my search was slowed down becuase in february my friends and I were filming a school project and we had this little cap gun and pointed it at some random sign and a truck drove by, saw us pointing it, he was an undercover cop, and we got arrested, for assault with a dangerous weapon, it was then reduced to assault and then the case was dismissed...
I was looking at going to a community college first...
I was thinking about going to broward community college since they have that program with the delta connection academy, get my ratings there and an associates in professional aviation, then flight train while doin the extended campus course from embry riddle. then going back and getting the guranteed job interview...
North shore community college up here in Ma also has an aviation program,
I just cant decide what to do, obviously i wont make registration for the fall semester, so im looking at starting in January.
If anyone has any suggestions at all, I would love to hear from you.
I appreciate it! and keep up the good work
Thanks,
Sean
P.S. Sorry for such a long post

Hi Sean, welcome.
You may get some good answers from this site. I think I just posted a response a few threads down to someone in California that may help with your question. You may also want to look at this site:
http://www.jetcareers.com/forums/ubbthreads.php
A lot more initial flight training type questions get answered there and you'll find quite a few people who are in the process.
Don't worry to much about the little incident. Cops just don't have a sense of humor about toy guns. You can't really blame them, but it sounds like the judge or D.A. agreed with your side of the story.

awesome
hey sean,
First let me say best of luck to you. Flying is fun. Plain and simple. If your coming from the civilian route my recommendation is to go ahead and get the four year degree and while doing so getting at least your private. Aftewards, I would say that you go full time to a 141 flight program. Check with the regional carriers and see what affiliates they have with different schools. My personal bias is FlightSafety, but DCA will do just as well.
Enjoy yourself, have fun, and stick with the dream.
