Considering that you post on here and another forum under the same username, it's easy to follow your time at ATP. You were literally there for two weeks and were kicked out for mental instability. ATP doesn't have much of your money after two weeks. After a few months they can rob you silly. ATP is rated an F by the BBB for a reason.

False.

Regarding the refund policy, any and all unused funds held by ATP are subject to refund. If an individual doesn't ensure that the refund policy is followed by ATP, then that's there own personal problem. Now, if an individual tries to hold ATP to the agreement, and ATP refuses to follow through, that it's up to that individual to pursue any and all legal action necessary.

There are a number of refurbished 150/152s on the market now. If one does decide to purchase an aircraft to use for training, I'd recommend looking into a leaseback arrangement with a flight school or club.

I'm about to finish my IA and the total cost is around 2000USD including knowledge test, DPE fee, hours and CFII instruction.

Where might someone find a 150/152 for sale?

Trade A Plane seems fairly popular.

Do you have a link to this?

Easy search. Go to the BBB website and type in "ATP Flight School" and for location use Jacksonville, FL. They are indeed rated a F.

ATP Flight School's BBB entry

As of today, the BBB's rating is based on eight complaints filed with the BBB and BBB's own review of the company.

Something to keep in mind: The BBB has, in the past (2010) been accused of downgrading businesses that declined to become members:

Now, since this is 2017, one has to assume that some things at the BBB have changed. Maybe, maybe not.

Well, just signed up for June in VGT. Person on the phone told me that I got the last spot. I imagine they only take 2-3 students a month since the total students at VGT number around 20.

Do you need to take an ACT test to get into ATP?
