Default Metro State of Denver

Just wondering if anyone knew about the aviation program at Metropolitan State College of Denver. I've heard a little about it and heard it's pretty good and I'm trying to decide if I should go there or not. Also, by the time I go there I would probably already be flight instructing if everything goes well, so would it be pointless to even consider it? Thanks for your help.

If you decided on an aviation degree vs a non-aviation degree, Metro is a good choice. They don't have their own flight school. They subcontract out with various other schools in the area.

I went to MSCD and I'd recommend it for their aviation program. It's inexpensive (especially in-state tuition), in a great location (right next to lower downtown) and Denver has a lot of good flying options. Good Luck!

If you already have your licenses and ratings, go to a real college and get a degree in anything but aviation.

The only people who should possibly consider an aviation university are people who have no flying experience or maybe just a PPL, and they can't manage to get a normal degree while flying and learning aviation on the side. Those are the people who go to aviation universities. Since you already have your CFI, go to a normal college and enjoy life.

I do think MSCD is a decent school in a nice area, but no one should get an aviation degree!

It is just north of DEN. Pretty cheep aircraft per hour compared to most FBO's in CO. Good Luck!!!

My best friend from high school goes there. he loves the school. I'm getting my AAS in Aviation Flight Tech, but will be transfering to Colorado State to be a International Relations major, with a minor in Japanese. I want a back up. Any ways, it's a good school, highly recomened

You cannot go wrong with MSCD.

-The aviation program has a great rep and it will look good on your resume.

-The tuition compared to ERAU makes me laugh (way cheaper at MSCD).

-You are getting just as good of an education at MSCD compared to other aviation schools that are much more expensive.

-Great Location in Downtown denver, and easy to comute if you live within 45 minutes of campus.

-If there is a better aviation school that cost less than MSCD, post the info, because I do not think there is.
