QF 747-400 blows 4 tires during aborted takeoff at LAX

Heard about a lear shred a tire which caused a chain reaction of tires failing after the shreds punctured every main tire.... slid off the end of a 13000'+ runway into the sand pit. Aborted RIGHT at V1.... I was told the V sound was just coming out of his mouth. Drag chute didn't help at all.... Good job QF

Here's either 1) improperly calculated balanced field length or 2) improperly performed V1 go, or V1 cut... you can see the bird strike the engine...

Yeah, which is why I say it was bad decision (beyond V1) to stop. OR, maybe they hit the dirt and that's what brought the nose down. It's not the best video, but powerful, explosive, moving. LoL Everyone got out alright, which is good.
