one more thing on the agency,I believe it was gap their contract agency for the DEC 747-400 and they haven't had any issues so far. they all had 400 types so no $$$$ up front or any silly thing like that and all passed IOE. that was in the last 18-12 months.

The US contract company is GAPAviation. I know a couple exDelta guys using them and they are very very happy with them, in all respects. GAP Aviation Home
Sorry Bruce, just having fun.

CactusMike, Any more developments that you might care to post here?
I received the details from GAP. I still need to decide if I am going to stick it out here with my present job, with things looking grimmer by the week, or make a go at one of the commuting jobs, and it does appear that the Korean job is reasonably attractive.

Hi, nothing new from me, we just got a firm detail of the Leave policy as it applies to the West pilot group. I am getting my logbook up to date and sending out some e-mails but I have not pushed this contract any farther. There are a lot of pessimistic people here and we already have the Aloha and ATA guys out looking so I guess it is time to push a little harder. We are going to lose two more 757s out West and I may bid back to the Airbus or 737 to hold a line rather than be on reserve on the 757. We will have a displacement bid sometime soon, I hear.

Logbooks ...
...Wish I had never neglected them. Looking at them now.
I am sitting on my hands as well. I don't know if Aloha 737 types would be getting 777 seats. On the other hand, they are looking at those with 767 (757?) time. A significant part of KALs expansion over the next several years will be through substantial increase in 777 deliveries.
