Silver,
That's strange. When I talked to Alan, about 3 weeks ago, he told me it would be the whole enchilada in nrt. Nothing about a prelim sim ride. Maybe it has changed since. Also I have a little less time than you, but he said nothing about it... But I do have some heavy intl time. |
Hi everyone,
Just wondering what the status of hiring these days at Air Japan? Are they still looking for guys? Would an RJ FO with no PIC time in the RJ have a chance (with the their mins being met) or is it one of those that guys with a lot more time are applying? Also I've seen the training time footprint; what takes so long? Also what is the percentage of washouts during training and on the line? For guys living in the states, can you request ORD overnights? Thanks so much for any help. |
@aviatorman. They are actively hiring, the average experience of the F/O's joining as I have seen is about 4 to 5 thousand hours and they do have some PIC time. AJX doesn't fly to ORD. Your questions about training and washout rates have been discussed in length in this very thread by all the regular contributors, I know it is a massive thread that has been going on for years but if you go back a couple of years and start reading, you will find all the information you need and even some you didn't know you needed.

ANA JP Express or Air Japan??
Howdy all. It's been a while since the last post. Any updates with recent/scheduled interviews? Process change at all? I read every page on this board this summer gearing up to apply, then decided to move the family cross country. Now that I'm settled, I'm thinking about applying....desperate to move on from the regionals.
Thanks SL |

Do what I did. Don't ask for help on forums! Call recruiter directly. You'll find answers to your question with out the hassle of lazy members here telling you to read 300 pages of thread. Ofcourseyou can choose to follow that route if you have no life and you are a regular visitor here.

Thanks SL There is a recent interview experience that I thought was pretty good, you count your lucky stars that all I have to do is copy and paste ;) ANA, Air Japan, JP Express Pilot Interview Profiles |
Great link Dom, thanks! With your reference earlier to the transition in company leadership etc, it sounded like there potentially are changes on the horizon. Like I said earlier, I have read every page of this thread (maybe not retained every detail) but feel like I'm quite familiar with the process and have taken notes for reference later. I don't frequent fly for food, so I suppose this is a wake up call that I should.
Thanks for the update SL |

Or maybe is like my father say, that when the future in a company looks promising, it is time to start printing resumes.:D |
