Hi!

If you are RJ only, apply and see what happens. I do believe some "small" plane guys applied, and their applications did NOT get kicked out. That means you are under consideration, if you app stayed active.

Give it a shot... if EK likes your CV, then you'll get a call for an interview.

Well, that was a interesting article to read, but the same thing could be said about many other countries in the world. If you eliminate the "slavery" points, it could be said about most countries in the world.

I, for one, am still hoping to be hired by EK. My regional airline sucks and I want out of it.

I have several friends that have left the States to go to EK. They have been there for awhile now and are still enjoying it.

It sounds like they might be forced to start taking US CRJ types again due to basically zero interest from 320/73ng types, be prepared for people calling it lowering the standard.

If you do come , please do your homework as to what to expect from Dubai and EK. Rosters right now are poor, IE 90+ / month, 8 days off .only 30 days of vacation, top bid months not working out.

EK does not allow you to just do ULR and have 15+ days and commute, don't even think about it.

Upgrade- no idea, think 10 years and you might not be disappointed, but don't come for the upgrade, way to many things WILL change before that will happen for you.

If you need a job it might be a consideration otherwise skip it

Moral right now is in the dumps and if there is not a hugh profit share and pay raise its going to get worst, if it can.

I've been here 8 years and cant wait to leave, just waiting for the right time, a few things to work out.

Lucky you Guys/Gals.....Here in Royal Jordanian, I only get 4 days off per month! 95+ hours monthly, and sometimes they scheduled on your days off! and forget about requesting your annual leaves..... Haram!

Fatbus,

It's already started; I was one of the CRJ guys who spent 18 months treading water in the Holding Pool and I just got an email from EK asking if I wanted to interview in 2 weeks time.

Hey Typhoonpilot--P.M. me if you have a moment. Tks.

Hi!

Read on pprune that EK has been calling guys to fill in on their day off. Everyone on pprune has said no, usually multiple times. I think the desperation factor is increasing, ever so much, every day.

I think it depends what fleet you're on. I'm on the 777 and although I've been getting 90 hrs a month a lot of it is ULR and I've been averaging 12-15 days off since January.
