Barry Woods was on LWOP from Canadian Airlines. Only after IFALPA basically told the Korean authorities that they would likely see very little international traffic in their skies did they let Barry head back to Canada on the promise that he'd return for trial. As you may have guessed, he did not.

This is the story I got from a friend who's ex Canadian, quite anumber of years ago, so I may be a tad off, but that's the jist.

In another report it was stated that upon post flight inspection in Bangalore, glass and metal parts were found in the vacinicty of the wheel well that did not appear to be part of the aircraft:):D:rolleyes:.

I haven't flown to BOM for few years but having the center line stripe be worn off or covered in rubber or even just mud would not be unusual. Unless its changed dramatically in 2 years the place is 1950's like. Nothing is kept up and you should truly be on high alert. That's no excuse for taking off on the R/W edge lites though.
