i hope you are not a US citizen, because you will not get hired. They do NOT hire Americans. Other North Americans, yes, and elsewhere but no US. That has been the word on the street for the past 5 years and i know a lot of people that work there. Good luck to you.

Some info there, also do a search in PPRUNE. There is a lot of info about airlines abroad, some filtration of the usual Idiocy is required!

That is all you put with no explanation or proof. It is a fact and i know from the people that work there and also know the Senior VP of Ops. Additionally, know of plenty of US pilots that did not get hired while everyone else from the same companies did. I can give some very detailed proof but won't waste my time. They do NOT hire US citizens, period.

I'm curious as to why they don't hire US Citizens?
Let me ask you this, so are you 100% positive that Air Asia (or Air Asia X) has zero US Citizens working for them?

Could this be about being furloughed from a US carrier and not necessarily because you are a US citizen? I do know that there are a couple of captains in Air Asia from the US, but right now there are quite a few pilots from the US taking recalls mid contract (I know of several guys jumping ship without completing their contracts) and the contract world is pretty small, the word spreads around. I had a good friend interview there a few months back and they asked him a couple of times if he had "recall rights" in the US, I don't know if this is the case for sure but it wouldn't surprise me that now that the US market is showing signs of an upswing (Lets see for how long) companies would be reluctant to invest in the training of an individual that might not stay for the duration of their contract.

Last I checked... In and Out Burger... some of the best burgers I've had, is from California. Hey Urge... isn't California in the US? On the Pacific Ocean. In the lower 48 believe... West of Arizona and Nevada... south of Oregon... Oh north of Mexico?
Help us out.
