Unlike Emirates, Fly Dubai's weight limit is only 10 tonnes, for which most RJ's would qualify.

Here's a more important & relevant question, Are they really hiring people (NON TYPE RATED FIRST OFFICERS) with just 2500 Total, 1000 EFIS JET times........

If you have any more information or if you know people who do, then pls post it as that will help more people......

Are you really going to wait for somebody in APC to tell you to that you can go ahead now and apply? just do it and see what happens!

No Sir, not for me, at least as of right now. Wish I had the times but when I do, No one would have to tell me to apply. At that point, my questions would be different...

I just commented on your thread to start a discussion, which may actualy help someone. I feel someone with even a little bit of 1st hand information can help more than rumours & odd comments. That's why I asked you if you knew any more..

Even I have tried posting some good oppertunities abroad for which a lot of regional pilots can qualify for & get a good salary & move up the ladder.

But, I feel that there are very few who actually want to go & fly in the Middle East or anywhere outside the 48 states.......

I agree, It is not an option for everybody but it might be an option for folks looking for a stepping stone out of the regional rat race.

Your position shows a 737CA. If you are a 737 CA in US, you should already be in a good position. This may not be best for you, If you ever wanted to move, there are better options.

Agree with the OP, this can be a good stepping stone for people who want to & are trying to break out from the "RJ's at regionals with no upgrade in sight" to something bigger or better.

Anyone who joined a regional 2 or 3 yrs ago, that guy has atleast another 3 yrs of right seat duty before due for an upgrade. He will also have atleast 1500 to 2000 hrs on a Jet, if he got to regional with jet.

People may disagree with me but the way I look at it, If someone has to sit right seat, might as well sit right seat on a 737 for 3 yrs & earn better $$$ in the process.

FlyDubai wants you to fill out the onlne form as per their web site. The only email they'll take is from one of their pilots recommending you, after you have filled out the app.
