Default Easyjet and ryan air

Anyone know much about Easyjet or Ryan air? Pay is far better compared with back in north America. Looks like a huge variety of flying. Lots of bases to choose from.
Also anyone know much on the process of getting over there to work? I am a canadian, so it would be very easy for me to get the right to live and work in the UK and stuff like that.
It looks like it would be alot of fun to live and fly around europe.

Heck... even cabin crew in Europe make more money than F/Os in the US. I'm not talking F/Os on turbo props either.

You can access accurate information on their respective websites as to pay, and requirements to become employed with EZ or FR.

Sorry man, but you're dead wrong there. There's no advantage being Canadian as far as working in the UK. (Or any other Commonwealth country for that matter...In fact, I was shocked to find out that our Aussie friends demand a tourist visa to visit...$20 Aussie bucks, or something like that. )

A little dissappointing really as Ryan and Easy are hiring like stink, but you need to have the right to work.

If any expat meets the minimum requirements for FR, contact Brookfield Aviation. They are the primary providers for pilots for FR. They have a website with contact and e-mail numbers. They can provide you with information regarding work permits too.

Go for it... drop the dime and make the call.

As for EZY... I don't know their procedures and or requirements. I can only recommend that you check their web site and try contacting them too.

Happy flying

There are specific advantages to being in a commonwealth nation immigration with the UK. The "Right of abode" act(which doesnt apply to me anyway) and the "working holidaymaker visa"(which wouldnt help with aviation).
The technical immigration loopholes for commonwealth countries would not apply to me in this situation. But they are still there! Agreements are in place for commonwealth immigration.
Never the less commonwealth immigration in general is much more welcome by member countries than immigration from non member countries.

OK, you've obviously looked into it and I'm no expert. It just sounded like you thought it was a 'slam-dunk' to get a working visa in a commonwealth country and I knew that wasn't true.

I work with lots of ex-Easy and Ryan guys. They aren't exactly complimentary, but it doesn't sound so bad to me. I like that type of flying, the pay's not bad and I really like the idea of being home every night.

Good luck whatever you decide.

Hey give Brookfield and Easy Jet a call to find out for your self... as they say "Be an educated consumer." Pretty good roster patterns for both carriers with QOL. Go on drop the dime.

The grass is not much better on the other side of the pond and certainly not the money either. After you're done with the honeymoon with the shiny easyjet/ryan air 737s you're going to be sitting in your room wondering what the hell did I do. Stop with the SJS and focus on your future.
