So just to go back on topic. Does anybody know if Jetstar's Japan pool of FO pilot is very competitive. Would an RJ FO like myself with about almost 4k total make the cut? Thanks!

I always encourage people to apply and see what happens, JetStar Japan is a new outfit that just started hiring the first group of foreign pilots and they are all captains, nobody can really tell you what they will be looking for in terms of experience for their F/O's, the word is that they are having trouble recruiting due to their low T&C'S, so give it a try if you are interested.
Haven said that....! The expat pilot game is played based on PIC time, I would suggest that in the case you don't get lucky with your search, instead of going for an A320 job without anything but SIC times, you try to go for a job that will give you a shot at command, such as a job at IBEX, ANA wings, any of the Chinese RJ contracts, Garuda on the RJ, the RJ jobs in Vietnam for example, those jobs usually have more relaxed requirements and then after you have 1,000 PIC in one of those A/C's and the actual experience flying as an expat, then you will be ready to make the jump to the AirBus, Boeing job you want.

Thanks Dominican! I applied at Ibex but unfortunately I got the" you're not qualified" answer because I don't have the pic time in the CRJ. Oh,well maybe I'll try in a few years after I get that golden PIC time. I'll finish up that apps too with Jetstar coz like you said you'll never know. thanks again!
