An old College roomate flew for them for a while then bailed. Tried to get
on with what he said was the only worth airline with a good contract, Aeromexico. I think he's flying for Aeromexico after not having a good experience flying for Volaris. Pay and QOL was horrible, so you're no missing much unless you fly at Aeromexico down there.

There'd never be much of an expat pilot market down there in any case, I think. Though the symbolism is troubling, there's hardly any justification for the protectionism called for above (although I understand the hard feelings). I don't think there are many true (not on a citizenship path) Mexican expats flying up here. If and when foreign nationals taking jobs becomes a problem we can deal with it. Employing those who honestly want to become citizens is something I have no problem with.

Add to the bafflement,they actually guard the Guat/Mex border,aiding an illegal is five years in the tank. Hmmmm.....
