Volaris Mexican airline
 

Just wondering if anyone had any info on volaris. This seems to be a regional airline flying primarily from Mexico City. They appear to be hiring but their requirements do not mention Mexican citizenship. If anyone has any info on whether or not they hire expats, please advise or pm me. Thanks to all!

You have to be a Mexican citizen born in Mexico to have a commercial or ATPL to work in Mexico. No expats, it's a very nationalized industry on Mexico. Most of the airlines require joining the one pilots union unto the single seniority list to even bid for a job.

Volaris is very well run, managed, etc airline. Partnered with SWA. very well funded and organized. I believe all pilots are Mexican nationals.

Article 32 of Mexico’s constitution unapologetically bans non-native born residents from holding sensitive jobs and joining the country’s military. Preference is given unabashedly to Mexicans over foreigners.

Where did we go so wrong...

Sorry, but there is nothing wrong with the inclusiveness ways of the US, this is a very young country that was formed by expats, it was meant for expats from all over the world to come and embrace the motto of "E pluribus unum" "from many, one" protectionism of the nationalistic ideals work for the Mexicans just fine, but for the US, the ideals of people immigrating and making an inclusive society is the foundation that we all should be admiring, not looking at it as a mistake.
