Korean Airspace
In light of recent developments, do you guys experience any route changes and/or airspace closures? Did FAA come up with anything for the US operators?
|
Went up B467 the end of last week, no problems. We're already limited to ops east of 132 degrees East in Pyongyang FIR.
|
Thus far all our flights into Incheon and thru their airspace have been normal.

Yes, Seoul/Incheon approach is now "Gangnam Approach".

Palm tree Pilot,
Hate to tell you this, but the FAA could most assuredly place restrictions on US operators or US-certificated pilots flying in DPRK airspace. Those restrictions are in place for Libya and Iraq, last time I checked five months ago. An exemption, or exception to policy, has to applied for and coordinated with DoS. GF |

Hard to believe Galaxy Flyer. I have been multiple times to ORER and ORBI in the last year. Also just took a freight into HLLT.

I didn't say impossible, I said restrictions for which exemptions are possible. I've been asked to plan trips into OR, you presently need a US Government interest to get the exemption. That from the FAA office in charge of them.
