That's what I figured. Is it the same at Emirates in Dubai?

Does anyone here have any idea what type of average qualifications those that are getting invites to interview possess? Still on the fence as to whether or not to apply…

Thanks for any info,

Lucky

Anywhere from the bare mins FO 121 prop driver to the experienced 121 or corporate jet captain. It's about who you know at Omni due to the small size of the pilot group.

Thanks...I left the big O last year for US/AA. However before I got on at US/AA, I was invited for an assessment at EY for the 777/787 FO slot. I subsequently turned it down. I had 4000tt with 1000 on the B777 at the time, and a little help from an internal US expat FO that got to know the guy in charge of hiring. They obviously look for time in type, value internal recs, and if you're qualified you just need to try to get yourself noticed. If you're interested in the ME, I think that's the best carrier to get on with for career progression.

Same thing in DXB. No invite? No entry

Anyone going for assessment in March for 777 NTR?

They are currently looking again for 737 FOs in my company for 777 slots. Requirements are not all that huge, 2500 hours total time and 1500 hours on multi crew glass cockpit jets with an MTOW over 60t. Since our 737 pilots tend to have all their time on the 737 except for the first 80 or 200 hours (MPL/CPL) it is basically a blanket 2500 hour requirement.

Funny enough there are no current openings on their airbus fleet, they used to offer positions from FO over CPT to TRE, both narrow and widebody. Might be due to a shortage on our airbus fleet though.

Anyone know if it is difficult to jump from one fleet to another at EY? For example, if you are hired onto the A320, can you bid 787 or 777 down the line or are you permanently fixed to the Airbus line (A320/330/350/380)? If you only have Airbus time, are you not eligible for hiring onto the 787 or 777 fleets?
