Nigeria
Does anybody know how is the situation in Nigeria as far as companies
and employment? Any info related to my inquiry would be most appreciated. Cheers |
Many expats work - or have worked - for Arik Air. You can do a search here or on Pprune for data. There hasn't been much forum activity lately. Suffice to say West Africa isn't for everybody.
Here's a recent thread, as an example ... http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/fo...ng-orders.html |
Sky News is reporting a British national was kidnapped today after leaving LOS airport...

Nigerian 419 warning (sarcasm)
I answered an ad to fly for a Nigerian Prince and other members of the royal family. I'm waiting for them to get back with me after sending them my bank account numbers so they could pre-pay me the first year's salary! ;):D:p

OK no Prince but an oil company. Schedule is better than the regional i operate on and lets just say the pay is MUCH better. If i'm dead that doesn't matter though. Please, constructive opinions maybe some facts? I have worked in Egypt and flown throughout the region but not Nigeria.
Any suggestions? This would only be until United american etc calls! Then i'm outa there. I am bleeding flying for a US Airline at below poverty wages and don't know how much longer i can hold out! Mic Donnalds pays same and gets me home each night only 8 hours a day and free lunch, LOL |
