Many expats work - or have worked - for Arik Air. You can do a search here or on Pprune for data. There hasn't been much forum activity lately. Suffice to say West Africa isn't for everybody.

I answered an ad to fly for a Nigerian Prince and other members of the royal family. I'm waiting for them to get back with me after sending them my bank account numbers so they could pre-pay me the first year's salary!

When we layover we travel in an armed convoy to and from the hotel. Foreigners are at risk especially up north where the Boko Haram loonies operate.

OK no Prince but an oil company. Schedule is better than the regional i operate on and lets just say the pay is MUCH better. If i'm dead that doesn't matter though. Please, constructive opinions maybe some facts? I have worked in Egypt and flown throughout the region but not Nigeria.
Any suggestions? This would only be until United american etc calls! Then i'm outa there. I am bleeding flying for a US Airline at below poverty wages and don't know how much longer i can hold out! Mic Donnalds pays same and gets me home each night only 8 hours a day and free lunch, LOL
