Problem solved for Jet Airways, provided the government and DGCA do not put the poaching scheme to a grinding halt.

FYI, just for grins I applied for this job (I don't have a 777 type but nearly identical cockpit as a 747-400), and got the TBNT :) |

None of these airlines hire on a permanent basis, its always an initial contract (i.e. 3 years) and after that they reserve the right to cut you loose.

It's a 3 year contract ... bunch of retirees from the US Legacy carriers. Good money .. just boring .. JFK-Abu Dhabi .. thats it.

The DGCA deadline for no expats employed by Indian carriers has changed. First, it was 2010, extended to 2013, recently extended to 2016. Is this job a career? Probably not. Is this job a way to wind up a career and go home? ABSOLUTELY!! |

It's a great opportunity to be home in the US.
