Default Emirates and the new 777X

An order over 75 billion dollars with the new 777X and Emirates Airlines. And more A380s on the way as well. Thoughts?

Well, TC podcast on the ice system says that with the economics of the aircraft, he does not understand why other airlines don't have more A380s. My guess was 30 more, so 50 more surprised me. All I know is every time I do London, the plane is completely full, and we go 5x a day.

I don't know much about the 777x, but for deliveries over 3years after the A350, I would say our initial batch of the Bus is still coming. And it is still up on their "planning" map.

When's the A350 meant to arrive? I remember something about late 2014 or early 2015? If that's right, where's the sim? Where are all the articles full of the usual EK propaganda about how great and efficient their new jet is? Even something as boring as some A350 models on a desk during a press conference? It's weird and very unlike EK not to be trumpeting to all and sundry about this. Someting wong......

I thought 2016. The did stick it out there when ordered, but quiet since. Not really a surprise there and nobody will be talking about the 777x after a few months either. 2020 is a looonnng way away.
