I punched at 49... took a massive pay cut on year one ($125,000)... now as a second year FO I make more than I did as a 12 year Capt at NetJets. My financial planner with Charles Schwab estimated I would loose 1.8 million in earned income and retirement by staying there.

Never looked back once, and to say Im happy with my decision is an understatement.

To echo this, I was a 3 year FO when I left, and I am at the 5th highest paying airline, and will make more this year than a 12 year 7/7 FO on year 2 pay. Retirement wasn’t even in the same universe comparing the two on whether to stay or go. From a money standpoint, I would challenge anyone to truly sit down with the numbers because you may think it’s a big loss depending on the airline you are looking at in comparison to your seat and payscales you are on at NJA, it’s really not.

And its not isolated. You wouldn't believe some of the other reasons they fired people recently.

Spending 5 minutes reading the CBA could have saved you "hours and sometimes days".

It's a 1 minute email to T&E, and then maybe you'll have to fill out another form. Anything more than that, you get an hour of OT.....unless you don't read the contract, then you'll spend "hours and sometimes days" doing stuff for free.

Well, the way T&E harasses Pilots for expense reports, and the rampid issue surrounding expense reports at NJA, with hundreds of pilots habitually delaying expense reports to the point of dissapline and or termination, would show that it isn’t as easy as you say.
