It is considering how hard you have to work for it...

What does it look like for your average guy though…. Global 7500 is already very small number of pilots who are very senior. Then, add in working the 76 day schedule in your twilight years…. 7/7 for Large cabin captain is by far the more common top pay scale.

Do they force the CC76 on anyone? I always see guys using the CC76 for pay rates, but I look at the number of days worked and figure anyone that's actually on that schedule is either single, hates their family, or is too junior to avoid it.

Nope, you bid it. The rates are used for grandstanding but also a lot of people choose it for the pay I'm sure. I would also assume that those rates include FDP which will fluctuate. Choosing to work 18 days a month sounds insane to me but to each their own...

This is also the payscale for their biggest aircraft. Good luck holding Global CA anytime soon lol. So largest aircraft on the highest working schedule. This isn't so much as impressive as it is, the absolute cap you can make unless you throw extending in, which believe it or not, many people are crazy enough to do.

Those rates do not include anything but base salary on that schedule. There are somewhere around 80 captains on the 7500. Base salary for the 7&7 schedule is a shade under 300K on that airplane for a topped out captain this year. It is very hard to make under 400K as a 7500 PIC when you include FDP, OT at well over $200 per hour, holiday pay, and the longevity bonus. The guys on the 76 are likely doing extended days also and some will likely make over 600K. They will work a lot of days for that, but most of those days are easy in the 7500. We will have Phenom 300 captains make over 500K this year. Those pilots are working hard every day and earning every cent. The retirement match still doesn't come anywhere close to any major airline, but the pay is not bad. Nobody will confuse us for a major airline, but it is vastly better than when Minrest was here.

Well its good to see the small cab drivers are making better money, 247K base in 2024 for a Phenom Captain and 306K in 2029, thats fair for a 14 hour day 15 times a month. Congrats. I bet there are a few husband wife teams flying the same line and get their 7 off days together, rakin in close to a million a year

Heard a pilot say he missed his airline connection home on his 7th day, and was getting to his home base after 14 hours on duty that day, and that NJA had to pay him an extra 3 days pay for not getting him home within the 14 hour duty day, he said it was going to be $4000. extra pay... is that true?

Last day we have to be home by midnight or within 14 hours duty. After midnight pay is paid as 2 extended days. An extended day is 1.5 so basically 3 days pay. I’m 6 year 7/7 and my after midnight is $3k.

What a depressing post. As a guy who left at 52 and 17 years all I can say is that I get up every morning and thank the aviation Gods that I left NJA, eat breakfast then give thanks again. Not only do I love my job now but my career earnings will be much higher. YMMV.

I typed up my take on leaving NJA 3 yrs ago with 16.5 yrs seniority and going to SWA but it was so darn long I just deleted it all.
The long and short of it is this: Totally worth it. I have never been happier in my life except maybe my wedding day. 0.0% regret.
