There are 13 bid periods in a year. So 64,272 first year if you work 16 days a bid period.

Putting it that way, each bid is 28 days, so you work 16 out of every 28 days not 30.

Spirit 5th year Captain (we don't have 5th year FO's unless by choice) $202/ hour + 2% A321 override + 11% DC= $228.70/hour X 72 guarantee X 12 bid periods= $197,600.60.

Little over year removed from Flex now at Spirit.
104.42/hr + 2% A321 override + 11% direct contribution = 118.22/hr X 72 guarantee X 12 bid periods = $102,145

Ability to drop, swap trips with red/green is huge. Average 15-18 days off a month.

All I can say to my Flex friends is get out ASAP. Every day your losing seniority at a better company.

So you’re saying if you work more you get paid more? Thanks captain obvious. You’re only guaranteed 14 days per BP.

If you work 16 days in a 28 day bid period, that leaves only 12 days off per BP. Can you work more, if the company chooses? Yes, but those days are going to fall on peak travel days. Really that translates to working holidays and weekends.

What is the max that the company can force you to work on the PBS?
