Ummm. The Gulfstream is not seniority based. It is interview only. There is International Red Label (Globals and Gulfstreams) and Domestic Red Label (Challengers, not all; and the Legacy 450/500s.) You interview for IRL and DRL is awarded by seniority.

CAE and Flex share responsibility in Flex newhire training.
By the “especially in Dallas” comment, means you have been to and enjoyed CAE MMU?

It's possible everyone is right about the quality of sim instructors. There are good ones and bad ones at all sim schools. Most of my experiences have been extremely positive, but occasionally you get:
- the guy that falls asleep in the sim while you are on an 'extended downwind'
- the guy that tries to sell you his pyramid scam vitamins
- the guy that's taught the course so many times, he doesn't care anymore, and literally says things like "ok, fuel system. it goes from here, to here, yadda yadda. You've all seen this a thousand times - any questions?"
- the guy (usually the guy from immediately above) that spends 10 minutes teaching, and 40 minutes on the "You wouldn't believe it! There I was...." stories.
All of these examples I pull from actual experience, but like I said - most of my instructors have been really good.

But why put it on a thread that is a discussion about training?
