So if the nearest one of those is 4 hours away, you start your work week with a 4 hour drive?
There are at least a couple pilots in my area that work at these places. It seems unlikely that they’d be doing that, but I guess it’s only a couple times a month if you’re on 7 and 7.
Do bases get added at all?

And yes, occasionally.

NetJets loves pilots who are available to fly the first day of a tour. So, if you live near a "green base" with a lot of airline service you can start making that flight duty pay early in the tour. I'm east coast, in a green base and I get a lot of one leg airlines to LGA/JFK, IAD, BOS, MCO, MDW. Sometimes I'll get a connection in ATL or CLT.
You will not want to drive four hours then go to work. Then think of working all week and having to make that drive home. No thanks. With all of the basing options you gotta be close to one of those?
