Yea, but he’s trying to recruit so it sounds better. What happens when CA and FO ratios get so skewed that when the market dips (which it will)? Downgrades that’s what. NJA doesn’t want or need 80%-90% captains. The hard reality is, these merit based upgrades are going to cease, and upgrades will stagnate once again. The first thing NJA will do when they have to tighten finances up, will be stopping the unnecessary upgrades.

Winner, winner. Chicken dinner.

And with the "New and 'improved'" international airline policy, if they can get you halfway around the planet with three legs in coach, each under five hours, and a 20 hour travel day, they'll do it.

What we do is not a commute. It’s an airplane ride... and we keep the airline status. All paid for by NetJets.

Y’all can have that jumpseat.

Gulfstreams will all new gone in 18 months. You won’t need to worry about that pesky policy in small cabin when you displace to your seniority.

I would have chosen the jumpseat over probably 25% of the NJA flights I was booked on.

What happens when the economy tanks again and airlines merge with others?

Milton from office space knows. To the basement. Allegheny Mohawk LPPs. DOH. Who knows.

The plan HERE is to add 15 jets a year for the foreseeable future until? Between retirements and growth, I’d say the risk is minimal at NetJets for your doomsday prognostication... no more than at any airline. In fact, when there’s a typical recession, our Owners fly less. They don’t stop flying like the general population. Less FDP in that scenario and no furloughs... I think the PIC/SIC ratio will be an absolute non event given all that’s happening in the business right now. New staffing realities vs what they were here in 2009/2010 uphold that postulate.

But those LPPs though. Mergers are fun.

I wouldn’t have. Sweating it out at the gate... wondering if I’d make it? Nope. No thanks.

“Now boarding, Zone 1”... ahh, that complimentary upgrade.

Yea, commuters don't sweat. That's what commuter clauses are for.

What happens? Sounds like you just answered your own question, airlines will merge maybe? Maybe you won't be able to extend 6 days a month... The top 6 airlines could shrink to half their size and still not furlough just based on retirements alone. What happens when NJA has to downgrade 300 frivolous upgrades and furlough 500? Why even bother asking these questions?

They don’t protect your pay though.
