I wouldn't say desperate. Hiring and new hire classes going on, as well as upgrades. They're starting a Sept class this week I believe.

I had a friend who used to work at PlaneSense and based off what she told me about it this is where I want to spend my career. I submitted an application earlier this year and send an update every few weeks but haven’t heard anything back except “your file has been updated”. I haven’t applied anywhere else since this is where I want to be.

Does anyone have any advice on how to stand out in the hiring process? I’m afraid they might have too many resumes for FOs right now. I really don’t want to go to an airline but I’m just not sure where I’m at in their backlog and can’t wait too long.

How close to 1000 hours are you as they prefer that, 700 with an internal recommendation.

Thanks for the reply Tanker. I'm just above 1,000 hours. Hopefully it's enough to get noticed.

800 hours is the cut off

I was interviewed around 800 hours and busted the interview. Didn't have the up to date IFR knowledge and experience that they wanted. Fair enough.

Ok, you're lucky to get another job, get some experience and decide to reapply. Sorry no bueno or never any contact. This is Planesense.

Per Diem

What is the Per Diem rate?

$2.10/hr you're on the road. Ex: Day 1 is 12 hrs, Days 2-7 are 24 and Day 8 is 12 hrs, your total for your trip $352.80.

SonicFlyer 09-23-2021 09:53 AM

So basically $44/day for meals?

$50.40 / day. Commute on Day 1 and 8 so you won't get a full 24.

As a comparison while the per diem rate at Plane Sense is $2.10 per hour if you don't have a 2 hour break during your day they will provide a crew meal. While at Southwest the per diem is $2.30 per hour with no crew meals.
