I know a guy who went through training last month but thought he might be the last for a bit and a Captain I know there said she doesn't seem to think they're continuing hiring anytime soon.....

Anybody else know?

I did check with EC at Alpha Flying and she told me they typically do not run new hire classes during the summer months. She did say they would probably resume hiring in the fall.

Summer is traditionally busy, with all qualified pilots (management included) being called on to cover trips. So it's likely there won't be talk of hiring til Fall. The lowest time new hire I've met has come on with about 1200. The last few posts pretty much jive with what's going on. Management has beaten pilots down a good bit; the company seems to be discouraging long time employment and we've lost some very very good people due to, well, bad situations.

Good luck to all that are applying. I've got to be better about checking in on here, and will try to give info when possible.

Good Morning,

Looking for some insight as to the interview? I have heard basic IFR, GPS, and VFR questions? Anything in particular to look over for an interview?

vfr questions include the basic sectional chart, airspeed/airspace limits, part 91 regs. ifr questions are about jepp approach plates and enroute charts. nothing tricky at all. very straight forward.
