3 years at FDX. Is NJI hiring those with a G4 type?

Netjets is certainly a great gig but one needs to realize that the 6 month upgrades of yore have gone out the window. It will take a new hire a solid 4-5 years to upgrade at this point, certainly something one would want to think about before leaving the left seat of a major/legacy.
From what I gather, NJA is going to start trying to recruit some younger blood anyways (too many crusty guys working there that forgot what the notion of retirement was all about). |

Since you're at UAL, that's another thing to consider. Their bankruptcy plan was based on $50/barrel of oil for the next 5 years, and I don't think they have any real plan except to merge. I didn't apply at UAL just because of the above reasons. cliff YIP |

No commuting, free benefits, probably better or at least same pay. However, If I had more than 5 years invested in a major, C/A or F/O, I probably wouldn't go anywhere. To me 5+ years of seniority matter.

I'm an FO with almost 10 years seniority at a cargo major. I'm trying to get hired. I've weighed all the negatives and positives. Far too many positives.
I have 11,000 hours, 3,000 jet, and tons of turbine PIC, I hope I'm competetive from what I'm reading on these boards!!! MR JT8D. |
