Not at all, part 135.
The really nice part is getting overtime while sitting in the terminal waiting for our flight home, newhires thats $40 an hour, and if your airline is late for any reason and you get in after midnight you get 2 extended days (3 days pay $940. for a newhire).

Hey! The X is a cool plane, but it comes with the worst working conditions in the company! :-) U-Boats rock! :-)

For adventure seekers like myself, airline flying would probably get monotonous pretty quickly, and a little bit of spontaneousness helps to make life interesting. It probably helps that I come from a background as an over-the-road truck driver, and as such never knew where I was going to get a load to next, nor did I have any kind of predictable schedule. I think the 7 on/ 7 off schedule really appeals to me also. I would use the time off for both other business and personal pursuits.
I'm with you on that one too. I came from the airlines and I was nearly dead of boredom after 9 years. I love the dynamic nature of the NJA operation. I don't really care where I go each day because I know I won't be home anyway. I got 8 nights at home and 6 nights on the road; where they send me while on the road is neither here nor there.
