Default Recency for NetJets

I have all of the requirements met with ease, plenty of turbine/PIC/instructor/instrument etc. as well as a great internal reccomendation.

But I am lacking in recency. My last AF jobs (last 7 years) had me flying a BD3D (desk) and now has me flying nothing but GA aircraft, day VFR only...

I was sent an application within a week...

Do I stand a chance getting an interview??

I would appreciate any comments or insight.

Cheers

I think the NJ human resources department will be like United's pre 9-11. You'll never know who the hell they are going to call. If you meet the requirements, you have a chance. But don't put all of your eggs in one basket. After the holidays are over, the HR deppartment will go back to the office, and find a pile of resumes 4 feet high.

Things are definitely in the process of change in the HR department and I don't think anyone can tell you for sure, but I know that before the 2007 contract they were hiring pilots who had lots of good experience but hadn't flown larger aircraft or jets for some time as long as they had some recent experience in any airplane. They weren't interviewing people who had retired from the airlines for a little while and had not been in an airplane since. I don't know if this has changed and they will only look at people who are recent in advanced equipment. Good luck.
