FlexJet Gateway?

FlexJet Gateway?
Does anyone know what the Gateways "serving many airports within a region" means (as posted on the airlines section of this site)? Does that mean you must live at one of their 4 gateway cities, or does that mean that you can live at any of the cities which airports are served within that region? and do you get to chose, or are you assigned a gateway?
Thank you
Thank you

My son works for Flexjet and I believe he said you just have to be 1 1/2 hours from their gateway cities as of midnight of the day before you go on duty. He said some folks commute to hotels in their gateway city and stay at a hotel. Commuting and hotels are at your expense. I think he got to choose his gateway city. He seems very happy at Flexjet. Good luck

I just got a call from Flexjet. It was a pre breifing and phone interview of sorts. The way he explained it is exactly as Joel says. 90 minutes from the gateway city. And you are either picking up a company airplane or airlineing out to pick up the aircraft somewhere else.

As I also understand my son, the gateway city does NOT necessarily mean just 1 of the 5 listed. For example flying out of FLL[gateway] also means the a/c could be at FLL Executive, MIA, PBI, etc. If the a/c is out of the area, they buy you a full fare coach ticket to the a/c location. Same at the end of the duty period for return to the gateway city. You keep the f/f points.

Thank you for the encouragement Joel Payne, I appreciate it.
My qualifications for the interview are as follows:
ATP
2700tt
1500 part 121 jet sic
Background consists of instructing for a part 141 collegiate aviation program and a little less than two years at a part 121 regional airline.
If you meet the minimums, I think you have a very fair chance of receiving the interview. I will let you know if I get the job, I guess they tell you that day or the next day.
