Bad info. FOs are not supposed to fly with pax until 125 hrs. (don't quote me on that) in the plane. Almost every other leg is empty so that's not such an issue.

Plz tell me who to pay off so I can get an interview. I have well above all the required times and I have sent in at least a dozen resumes. Just curious

dunno what the time requirements are either....i've searched high and low, someone said their buried deep within the avantair site, however, i never located them either. Hired times were all over the place from what i've heard though, 1000 hrs to 3000 hrs, just depending.....we'll see what happens...also, i'm sure there's a ton of guys (just like us) who are trying to get on, as the regionals shed their young.

I just talked to some Avantair pilots today and they said the mins are 2500TT, 1000 MEL.

*edit
Yup, they've got a listing on corporatepilot.com

Maybe they have a military conversion time. I am sure FA-18 time would be appreciated... Never hurts to ask.

I hope so....though I have been told by others that using the conversion would only be useful for making minimums if you were short of the 2,500 hrs for example. Once you have the mins - they don't expect you to use the conversion factor if there is one applied.
The point to the above post was that even with a liberal conversion factor - they would be very hard pressed to find a USN/USMC strike fighter guy with that much time (especially in these times). No doubt there are some out there - but they have been pretty lucky in their careers
In the USMC for example - there is only ONE guy with over 5,000 in the Hornet and I've only run across one other with over 4,000 (former Blue) though there may be more out there.
I've got the mins plus some - but I don't come close to 5,000.
No matter - I'll still send in something when the time comes. Can't be afraid of rejection in the job market. I'll save that for the dating game
