Does Netjets require pilot applicants to have a full US passport or greencard?

I will soon have a L2 work visa. Is this ok?

Are they hiring?

You need to have a passport and a work visa if you're a foreign national. They will start hiring again in 2009. I've heard either Jan or Feb. Good luck

hiring for 2009 is all up in the air at this point. From what I've heard, we are about 400 pilots "fat" right now, so I wouldn't hold my breath for any classes next year..... Good luck.

I bet we hire AT LEAST 100 in 2009.

I've also heard we are "fat" on airplanes, yet we just got N180QS. I'm on day four with stby in the hotel with a good airplane, flown one pax leg and airlined twice. One thing is for sure with NJA is change. I think the best advice for now is put your stuff in and then go about your life, you can not count on NJA, it is difficult to get hired in the first place and for now there is no hiring. Good luck.

I like your optimism but looking at how our aircraft utilization is way down these days, I really don't see us hiring for 2009 other than to cover a dozen or so for attrition.... I hope you're right though.

Cancelling a/c orders has much larger financial and operational implications than does cancelling new hire classes.
Anyways, I didn't mean to hijack this thread. Good luck to everyone trying to get on with NJA and stay posted because things do change rapidly in this industry.

Where does the 400 figure come from? Our last new hire class was 1st week of October, it doesn't seem possible to swing that much in 2 mos. I heard, while in recurrent, that while our sales are flat, Marquis card is doing quite well.

You have to have the right to work legally in the USA, meaning been a US Citizen, Green Card (permanent Resident) or have an unrestricted Work Permit. NetJets will not process a work visa for you.
