Flagship Private Air
I currently work for United and am not sure if I am safe from furlough. However, I wanted to pass along this info to anyone looking for employment. I came across Flagship Private Air while working my other job. They just started operations Dec. 3rd. They have 3 aircraft and are looking to expand. Do a google seach and check them out. I have talked with their marketing manager Erin Patton... Hope this helps someone... Also, if you live in chicago land area and are interested real estate investing/education, let me know.

Hey,
Thanks for the info!!! I never heard of them. I have been sending resumes ALL OVER!. Still have our house in Howell, MI. This would work!
Also, anyone looked at Freight Train conductor? Going on Monday to check out an OPEN HOUSE for Conrail.!!!

There is a school in KC, MO. Google N.A.R.S. I may still have some info on it if you want to PM me. Good luck anyway!

Thanks. I saw that. However, this is going to be paid by Conrail. Also saw some other Conductor training programs other places (CSX), where they will pay for it (and pay you).

I've got a good friend who just upgraded to Engineer with CSX after being a Conductor for 3-4 years. It seems like a decent deal. The biggest drawback that I could see would be the schedule. It may vary from place to place, though. He lives along the OH/WV border and he started with a 6 on/1 off schedule but he only went between his base and one other city; so it sounded like he worked 6 in a row but was home almost every other night. The best schedule that CSX has (at least at his location) is 8/3.
The pay is good and the pension is better. If he stays in for a career and retires, he'll get his pension and then his wife with get an additional pension of $1500/month just for being a railroader's wife.

Well, went to the "open house" for ConRail yesterday. OVER 300 people showed up. They were NOT expecting that many.
Anyway, took three tests, filled out an app. and now I wait. Similar to airline life.
They are a "terminal" rail out othis area. Home everyday(night). Seniority, "reserve", pay stinks at first, wait for upgrade...
1 day off a week, guaranteed 40 hours a week, 2 hour call out...
We'll see. I met a guy yesterday that left NJTransit because "upgrade" there was 18 years!!!
Pension/retirement is good if you are there for +30 years.
Back to the original topic, anybody have a contact for employment at Flagship Private Air?
