Default CitationAir recalls yet again

I believe this is our fourth recall. We are in the process of recalling another 14 pilots, bringing the total recall count to 53 of the 85 furloughed.

A sincere congratulations for Citationair guys/gals.......Ask just about any NJ'er and I'm pretty sure there's more than a majority here that would be envious of the company at the moment....

Hopefully other managements will notice...wait I must be drunk

We're now in the bottom half of the furlough list.... most of these folks were barely here a year before being furloughed...

There were a handful out of each recall process that deferred.... my guess is that the bottom half will go much more quickly than the top half as most have found other employment and have seniority to consider at their new employer... Once the bottom of the list is reached and the deferrees get called again they have to either sh!t or get off the pot... no time allowance after the most junior person is recalled...

Street hiring by the end of the year if this pace keeps up????? Hmmmm.....

I'm not aware of a hiring pool at CA. That aside, there are still 32 guys on furlough with no definite date of recall. Active hiring is still a pipe dream at this point.

Pipe dream possibly, but never underestimate the power of positive thinking. Once the ball gets rolling things typically happen fairly quickly..... Management will get excited about business improving and eventually the recession will be a distant memory once they are lining their pocets once again. They will see more $$ signs in their future and feel compelled to grow the business, or even appear to grow.

Also couple that with the fact they will be gaining momentum on the almighty Nutjets, and the excitement will fill the air like a smelly cigar. Their new business slogan will be "Look at us, we're growing while Nutjets is still wallowing in the depths of hell"

I have no disrespect for what the guys at Netjets have done as far as their union. But the comment is correct. Really some of the weakest leading the charge to protect themselves from their own abilities.
