I think I have all my questions answered about the company except for the fuel savings incentive. Does anyone know how that works or how much a pilot could expect to see from that program? Thank you for your time

The fuel savings program has all sorts of metrics to it. Way to many to list here, but it seems that most guys average about 1000.00 per quarter on the file bonus. It's not garanteed and can change with season due to the length of legs you fly, winds, temps, and of course comfort.

Also took clarify something, I think it was mentioned that FO pay will increase 10k a year with a newly announced pay possibility for FO's. It was explained to us that it would be a 10K increase for 2nd and 3rd year FO's likely 10k more than a starting FO now. As I understood the call, it wasn't announced as 10K a year increase. Would be nice, but not how it was presented. I would imagine to see first year FO pay stay at $52,200, then a bump to $63,200 for second year. It would beer nice if third year was $74,200, but I don't think they really plan on having many 3rd year FOs and the upgrade would take you to 94,200.00 at that point anyway.

This is also just proposed at this point and not yet set in stone.

That helps a lot, thank you. Are upgrades still running 1-2 years? I'm on the fence between applying now or waiting to see about the proposed pay increase. I have triple the hiring mins but I don't know what's competitive. XO seems like a good company. The majors interest me but I live in a place where commuting would be hard and I'm not in a position to move. That's why XO is on my short list of jobs and seems like a solid opportunity.

Upgrades are a little over 2 years on the Challenger right now and I believe just over a year on the Citation. Everyone is expecting pretty high attrition this year with all these majors hiring, so that could change.

Nothing really competitive with the mins. We have some very low time pilots on board. It all depends on attitude and how well you will get along with everyone.

You mentioned a location tough for commuting. If it's a location such as Daytona Beach, or Lexington, KY , or any small airport, the company will make you base out of a bigger airport nearby. Such as Orlando, or CVG. Just figured I would throw that out there Incase you weren't aware.

It is a good Company and a good opportunity for folks to build time, need to bridge a gap, however if you are young and looking for a career move, your retirement, paycheck and how hard you work for that paycheck are better off at the airlines.

Another point to add is that XOJET is doing well, but there is currently no growth. All hiring is due to attrition.

I live in CPR. 6 airline flights a day, 4 to DEN and 2 to SLC, short 45 min airline flights. Allegiant comes twice a week but I doubt they would be counted. If I did get hired and move in the future, is it easy to change bases? Can you switch bases often? Thanks for all the info, definitely still interested in the company.

CPR might be a tough one to be accepted by the company. I think we only have one 300 guy right now living in WY somewhere (I forgot where) so it's a tough call.

It's pretty easy to switch bases as long as it's a company approved airport.

Not sure you'll get an answer from anyone without an interview. But they would tell you during your pre screening I imagine. One thing you could maybe negotiate is if you live in a place where airline tickets are pricy and not many option that you'd be willing to work doubles.
